How we use your information
The Practical AI Policy Builder is a free tool from Precise Impact AI. This page explains what information it uses, why, and how long we keep it. Last updated 2 October 2026.
Our main privacy policy covers everything else we do, and has our full company details.
What we use and why
We use the answers and contact details you give us, together with publicly available information about your business (such as the Companies House register), to prepare your pack and to follow up with you. We don't use your answers to train AI models.
If you ticked the box for a follow-up, we send one email within 90 days, and nothing else from that tick. Please don't put personal information about other people, or anything confidential, in the free text boxes.
We do this because you asked for your pack, and because following up with businesses that have used the tool is a reasonable part of running it. You can ask us to stop at any time.
Who helps us
Trusted providers who host the tool, keep it secure, send our emails and hold our customer records, and an AI service that helps prepare your pack. They act only on our instructions. Some are outside the UK; where your information goes abroad it is protected by the safeguards UK law requires. We don't sell your information.
How long we keep it
- Finished journeys: deleted after 12 months, with your pack, unless you have booked a call with us.
- Unfinished journeys: deleted after 30 days without a change.
- Your pack link: stops working after 30 days. You can ask for a new one.
- Visit counts: deleted after 13 months.
- Cookie choices: kept for a year after the choice stops being remembered, as a record of what was agreed.
- Our customer records: kept as our main privacy policy describes.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it or delete it, object to how we use it, and withdraw any agreement you have given, such as to cookies or the follow-up email. Email legal@preciseimpact.ai and we'll reply within a month.
If you're unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website keeps in your browser. We only use the strictly necessary ones unless you agree to more, and you can change your mind at any time.
At the moment the tool sets only strictly necessary cookies, so there is nothing to choose.
